The returning event will be held during August 2020 in Hampshire

The British Motor Show is set to make a comeback next year following a 12 year hiatus – great news for the UK and motoring enthusiasts everywhere!

The returning show will be held at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre in Hampshire from Thursday August 20 until Sunday August 23, 2020.

It will boast more than 40,000 square metres of indoor exhibition space across five halls, with a live stage for celebrity appearances.

There’ll be a four acre display area outside, a 13,000 square metre live arena and around two-miles of long track so that adult visitors to the event can test drive some of the latest models being displayed. Anyone under 17 years of age can take advantage of supervised driving lessons at the show.

The CEO and founder of the revamped British Motor Show for 2020 is Andy Entwistle, who in the past has organised major car-related events including the 2019 London Motor & Tech Show.

Mr Entwistle will formally launch the all-new show on November 19, when more details about the exhibition and tickets will also be announced.

In preparation for the upcoming formal launch of the all-new British Motor Show, Mr Entwistle sends a message to car enthusiasts considering visiting the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre next August: “This is going to be something unlike any other motor show you’ve seen. We’ll be celebrating motoring past, present and future with halls dedicated to all the best that the manufacturers currently have to offer, a peak into the future and of course at some amazing classics.”

It will be a great day out for all the family, with lots going on including the launch of The Mini Motor Zone just for kids.

The price for entry and further details have yet to be confirmed but it’s believed that a family of four will have to pay around £40 for entry to the show, with individuals having to pay around £15 if booking in advance.

The last British Motor Show took place at ExCel, London back in 2008 and was organised by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
