Short, Simple, Clear Car Leasing
Whether you are leasing a car personally or through a business you must provide proof of I.D, proof of address and proof of income as part of the process.
You must be aged 18 years or over before you can lease a car and hold a full valid UK driving licence.
Your driving licence will have to be shown as proof of I.D, so it’s important that the information is up-to-date and includes your current address.
As well as being illegal, it could also slow down the leasing process, so the best advice is to have all documentation ready in advance before looking to lease a car.
Not only will it save you from being hit with a fine and points on your licence, it will make the whole leasing process run smoothly.
You will be asked to provide two proofs of address to show that you live where you say you live. Two utility bills from the last three months or bank statements can be used as proof but they must show your name.
Other personal details required when leasing are your martial status, residential status (whether you own your home, rent or live with parents etc..) and you must be able to provide your address history for the past three years.
Also, you will be asked to provide proof of income and your employment details for the past three years.
Your bank details from where your monthly Direct Debit payments will be coming from have to be provided.
