Breakdown cover is included when you lease from Clear Car Leasing but for how long?
When you lease a brand new car with Clear Car Leasing, we guarantee that it will come with a full UK manufacturer’s warranty which normally runs for three years but all depends on the make and model you choose.
As part of the warranty, most manufacturers include breakdown cover, so if you happen to find yourself stuck on the side of the road, you have peace of mind in knowing that you can call for assistance.
During the warranty period, you shouldn’t have to pay any money out for issues that arise with your lease car but this may exclude certain limitations.
So here at Clear Car Leasing, how long do I have breakdown cover for on my lease car and what should I do if I breakdown?
If you added a maintenance package to your contract, breakdown cover normally lasts for the whole period of your lease term. If you do break down, you must contact the maintenance team and they will assist you.
If you didn’t take out a maintenance package as part of your lease agreement, you might still be covered in the event of a breakdown under the manufacturer’s warranty, this all depends on the make and model of car you have leased and the length of their warranty period, which usually varies from one year to five years.
Breakdown cover tends to start on the original date of vehicle registration.
You may also find that if you’re still covered as part of your manufacturer’s warranty, you could be entitled to breakdown recovery, again this all comes down to the make and model of vehicle you are leasing.
