The BVRLA Fair Wear & Tear Guide is used to determine what is or isn’t covered
When you lease a car it’s in your best interest to look after it both inside and out for the entire length of your lease contract.
Keeping it clean and carrying out regular checks is recommended when you lease a car from Clear Car Leasing. If upon inspection of your lease car at any time during your contract you spot a dent or some scratches or notice something is missing, you are advised to take a look at the BVRLA Fear Wear & Tear Guide to see whether they are covered or if they need to be dealt with by yourself before your contract comes to an end.
At the end of your lease contract the car will be inspected on the inside and outside to check for signs of damage and if anything is spotted that is not covered under the Fair Wear & Tear guideline it will be up to you to pay the additional charges.
These charges will be required to cover the cost of rectifying any damage found or to replace missing items that are not covered under the Fair Wear & Tear guide.
To avoid being hit with any charges at the end of your contract we advise our customers check the condition of their lease car at least three months before it’s due to be collected and refer to the BVRLA’s guide for assistance.
If any damage or missing items are discovered that you believe will not be covered under the Fair Wear & Tear guide you will have to time to address these issues before the car is returned and avoid any charges.
